Location: Shipham Pre-School (part of Shipham CE First School)
Responsible to: The Headteacher
Responsible for: Pre-school Practitioners, Pre-school Assistants, Pre-School Administrator, volunteer staff, parent helpers and visitors
- To provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment;
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements;
- To lead, motivate and professionally develop a small team of dedicated staff;
- To contribute to and to implement early years policies;
- To build strong links with all stakeholders but primarily parents/carers and other teaching professionals the main school

The Wessex Learning Trust are urgently looking for Minibus drivers.
Casual or Zero hours contract. Rate of pay to be agreed upon appointment.
This is an important and responsible role ensuring the safe transportation of Wessex Learning Trust pupils by bringing them to and from school each day during term time. We are looking for a reliable experienced driver (ideally within a previous passenger transport environment) that would be willing to work extra hours on occasions for additional driving duties in the day, or to provide cover for unplanned absences.
The successful applicant will hold a full clean driving licence with D1 Minibus entitlement and have a minimum of five years driving experience.
What will I be doing? As a School Minibus Driver, you will be tasked with collecting and dropping off pupils to and from the school on a specified route. Your role will involve: – Driving courteously and considerately at all times, obeying speed limits and road laws – Taking responsibility for your passengers whilst they are on board – Ensuring that you are fit to drive and your vehicle is 100% roadworthy – Cleaning the vehicle – Ensuring any vehicle defects are reported immediately What do I need? To be considered as a School Minibus Driver, you’ll need: – A full driving licence which enables you to drive a 17 seat minibus – A friendly approach – Strong time-management capabilities – A close attention to detail – A responsible nature
