  • Sustainability at Shipham First School

Fri 10 Nov 2023 Lindsey Murphy

Both Shipham First School and its sister Draycott Rodney Stoke School have been involved in energy projects to increase sustainability. LED Lighting has been put in place throughout the schools. Draycott Rodney Stoke has a more efficient heating system now, saving on energy costs and reducing our carbon footprint. Time switches have been added to the water heaters so that hot water is only on and used when needed, again reducing costs and improving efficiency. Both schools maintain robust measures for recycling and reusing materials in school, with children and staff on board on a daily basis to ensure our schools remain eco-friendly.
