Good morning, I hope you are all warm and well.
It’s the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend, it’s great fun to take part and something you can do while isolating!
All the resources are on the RSPB!s website; www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch, remember to submit your results to contribute to the National survey.
The children have all been involved with feeding and recognising the birds visiting forest school this month.
Making bird feeders is a fun activity you could do at home. We enjoyed poking sunflower seeds into apples and pears then hanging them with a stick perch in the trees. We also stuffed hollowed out fruit and vegetables such as oranges, potatoes and gourds with a sticky mix of lard, seeds, raisins and chopped fruit. These and lots more ideas are on the RSPB website
